While crappie are among the most common fish in most parts of the United States for fishermen, different approaches to catch the swimmers must be taken, depending on location, time of year, and the mood of the fish. Georgia crappie fishing is good year round so if you know what tactics to use to attract their attention.
Overall, it is best in spring, when schools of crappie are in the middle their spawning runs. You can use one of several tactics for catching panfish, including still fishing, casting, trolling, and drifting. However, keep in mind that because crappie prefer to be covered, you're most likely to find them in the brush, stumps, or even a form of artificial cover, at depths between five and twenty-five feet, depending on how high in the sky, the sun is. At night, they prefer water deeper and may even feed. The best bait is live bait. However, you can also use a crappie jig or a small crappie lure.
Georgia crappie fishing can occur at any time of year, using the right tactics. In spring, live bait, the jigs and spinners will offer the best results. You should bait drift around slowly until you catch a bluegill, and then focus on this area, since you've probably found a school of fish. Georgia crappie fishing in the spring should focus on the shallower waters, such as sunfish are in the middle of the spawn and are in search of warmer waters where.
In summer, it requires you to throw a line a little deeper, because the fish will tend to stay away from direct sunlight as it rises into the sky. How deep they swim just depends on the lake itself - If it is deep enough, you may have to look at depths of 35-45 feet. In summer, live bait and jigs still works well, but trade spinners you use the spring to the spoons.
During the fall, Georgia crappie fishing can be a bit difficult. The fish migrate deeper into the lake during the day, with appearances shallower early in the morning and late evening. During the daylight hours, spoons and jigs work well in the deep structure outside. Other times, you can use live bait and spinners for a bite.
